Jubilee Films is the creation of New York-based documentary filmmakers Rachel Lears and Robin Blotnick. Our mission is to tell smart, nuanced, entertaining stories that transcend borders, engage audiences from all walks of life, and challenge popular assumptions. Our projects have received support from major funders like the Sundance Institute and the Ford Foundation, and won awards at festivals around the world. Our most recent feature, The Hand That Feeds, opened theatrically to critical acclaim in 2015, was broadcast on PBS, and nominated for an Emmy in 2017. Our new project, Knock Down The House, follows the campaign of rising political star Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and three other working class women challenging powerful political machines in very different American landscapes.
